What Is Influenster? A Box Full Of Free Stuff & A Gift Card

influenster reviewA Dollar Saved Is A Dollar Earned”! You’ve heard this phrase a thousand times, I am sure, but is it really true? I always check my receipts at the end of the month to find out where the heck all the money went I am making with my multiple income streams. It surprises me how much goes for stuff that is not really essential, like food, shelter and clothing (mostly for my wife and kids, LOL), but for items we cannot do without.

I am talking about cleaning supplies, candies & cookies, soft drinks and personal care items, and those numerous extras we afford ourselves just because we can, not because we really need them. Often times I wish I could get this stuff for free, but this is wishful thinking. But is it really?

Well, I came across a website where you can get a lot of the stuff I am talking about for FREE, and can make a little extra cash from the comfort of your home. Here is my Influenster Review.

What Is Influenster?

Influenster.com is a product discovery platform and review site that helps their members find new products to try and get advice so they can make informed purchases. They help their members compare products and guide them on how products can be integrated into their life. Influenster inspires a love for products and encourage conversation, discovery, and reviews. Influenster brings together the brand of many companies and their consumers to foster connections, build engagement, and create brand advocates.

Over 1,000,000+ members create online & offline reviews, user generated content, and valuable market insights for Influenster’s large clientele. The long list of well known companies include Nestle, Revlon, Coca-Cola, Pfizer, Colgate Palmolive, Hershey’s, L’Oreal, Sony, Shell, Revlon and many more.

What Is The Influenster WAH Opportunity?

The Influenster membership is free. Log on to their website, fill out a profile page, and get actively involved by answering questions. There are 2 ways to get free stuff and make some extra cash.

What Is An Influenster VoxBox?

A VoxBox is a box full of different products that Influenster sends out monthly to some of their members. These boxes contain full size products (not trial size) for you to use. The products are: Eye Makeup, Facial Makeup, Hair Care, Beverages, Candy & Gum, Personal Care, Wellness, Cat Supplies, Dog Supplies, Baby Feeding & Nursing, and even some electronic devices (i.g. Sony). Along with the products you will receive a short list of tasks, which include:

  • Writing a short review
  • Completing a short online survey about the product

Each box contains products worth about $25 to $30. Of course, you can keep all the products for your personal use or give ‘em away for small gifting purposes.

What Are Influenster Snaps?

As I mentioned earlier, you need to be active on their site, and Snaps have 2 functions. One is to unlock Influenster Campaigns, which will earn you gift cards; the other is to unlock Influenster Badges. Snaps are basically questions to answer in different product categories, share your opinion about products, or write a short review about a specific product. With every completed Snap, you will receive a Influenster Badge; the more badges you get, the greater your chances of receiving a monthly VoxBox.

What Are The Influenster Campaigns?

Influenster Campaigns can earn you a gift card. For example, I unlocked a campaign that required me to read a short (48 pages) eBook and write a 200-word review about it. I received a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card, which came in handy for a small gifting obligation. They have a variety of gift cards, including Amazon, Walmart and eBay.

Is Influenster A Good WAH Opportunity?

It’s definitely different from what I usually dig into and may recommend, but if you get stuff for free you would buy anyways, it’s “a dollar saved is a dollar earned”. Right? Combined with the chance to unlock an Influenster Campaign, maybe 2 or 3 a month, and receive  gift cards for your activities makes it certainly something that would be worth your while. A lot of people like Influenster as the positive comment below shows:

What Are The Influenster Complaints?

Nothing is perfect, as we all know, and Influenster is no exception. There are a few things of concern I need to cover.

Influenster Is Not A Make Money Online Opportunity.

This is true, but I don’t think it’s really a big problem. You know from the get-go that you will be doing something not receiving cash, but getting compensated with free products, and an occasional gift card for completing Influenster Campaigns. If receiving free stuff is not your cup of tea and you prefer a real ‘make money online home business‘, I urge you to look at My #1 Free Recommendation, and how I got a great start building my business.

No Guarantee You Receive A VoxBox!

That’s the only real complaint my team could find. Not everybody will receive a monthly VoxBox, and some folks never received a box at all. If you join Influenster I strongly recommend you get real busy on their site. Do as many Influenster Snaps as you can find, earn badges, share your opinion and reviews on social networks like Facebook, Pinterest and Google +. Show them activity and they WILL reward you with VoxBoxes and Campaigns. As the saying goes…..”From Nothing Comes Nothing“. Maybe the gal complaining in the screenshot below should have read my review. LOL!

Is Influenster A Scam?

I hope you actually read my Influenster Review and came to the same conclusion I did; Influenster is 100% legit and not a scam. If you like free stuff and the chance of getting a gift card every now and then, go for it and give Influenster a try.

It’s a pyramid type scam.you have a better chance at winning the lottery than getting any REAL products. I knew a girl in junior year with me who wasted her entire school year doing it and never got ANYTHING and actually SPENT money and since she missed so much homework from doing it she got held back in school. My mom was right that if it sounds too good to be true that it is and to stay the hell away! Best way to get free make up is to just ask the people who work the counters at a any make up store if you can try this and that beauty product and if they have free samples or make up they are throwing away. My friend found all this make up in a trash can at Sephora once and they let him keep it and it was all brand new and he gave it to my other friend and she shared it with me all urban decay eye shadow!

I have been VERY active on Influenster for almost 6 months, done hundreds of snaps, dozens of reviews, created over 20 lists, finished every campaign and several other badges, and I have received ZERO products to review. I have to assume that is because of one of the following: I am not a member of a “desirable” age bracket (I am 46, and I have spoken with several other women in their late 40’s-60’s who have NEVER received a sample), I am not attractive enough in my photos, I am CRUELTY-FREE, or that I don’t have a smartphone and can’t use their precious app. I wrote them about the latter, and they assured me that had nothing to do with it…

So months later, why have I still received NO products to review? I am done with Influenster, and I encourage other older or cruelty-free women to consider the same.
