My Online Business Empire – Another Scam Gets Reviewed
Is My Online Business Empire a scam? People joining this pyramid like scheme will find out the hard way – by losing thousands of dollars.
Name: My Online Business Empire (MOBE)
Website: www.myonlinebusinessempire.com
Price: $49.00, plus $19.00 per month & a torrent of upsells
Owner: Matt Lloyd
Overall Rank: 10 out of 100 points
What The Heck Is My Online Business Empire?
If you want to believe Matt Lloyd, MOBE is “the best program available” to learn internet marketing. In his sales video, he explicitly explains that you will learn how to create your own banners (using a drag & drop software program), and how to write good sales letters……and “about 12 other great things”.
Whoopie, creating banners and writing sales letters, what a great concept. He also let’s you know, that at present time, his program consists of over 40 different courses, and you can expect continues additions and updates due to the rapidly changing internet requirements.
You may anticipate to get trained to build an online business empire. Believe me, you anticipate wrong.
I can tell you what you will NOT learn as MOBE member…….the most fundamental aspects of Internet Marketing:
With knowledge you can be successful
- How to build your website
- How to create quality content
- How to research and explore your niche
- How to use keywords and keyword phrases
- How to do SEO
- How to generate organic traffic to your site
- How to promote your local business
- How to monetize your website
I can tell you WHAT you will learn as MOBE member
- How to spend a ton of money to buy more MOBE stuff
- How to sell this MOBE stuff to other people
- How to recruit other people to join MOBE
Does this make My Online Business Empire a SCAM?
In my humble, but firm, opinion this is a scam. The pretense to join MOBE is to teach you internet marketing. The real intention, however, is to recruit you to do the same. The training you will get is to recruit other folks to sell MOBE and a slew of crappy and overpriced products.
Another scam indicator is the low buy-in price of $49,00 with a recurring $19.00 per month, starting in month two of your membership. As soon as you join, you will be told, that it is impossible to make any money at this “entry level” and an immediate upgrade is necessary.
Yet, it does not end right then. Before I go into more details, let me give you a brief overview about my experience as MOBE member.
The MOBE Scam Exposed
I am writing reviews (mostly about SCAM Products because there only a handful of legit programs) to provide visitors to my website with honest information about online products and programs. This requires diligent research and, of course, to spend some money. Reading reviews on the web and watching video clips on You Tube reveal a lot about the products.
Matt Lloyd avoids to use the typical scam method of “promising the pie-in-the-sky” phrase in his sales video, and I have to give him credit for that. To my big surprise, I found two very short clips on You Tube headlined “Get your new Mercedes Benz in 5 days”. Take a look; it wont take long:
You can see the point I am making, can you? If you shoot for a Mercedes Benz of the mid to low price range, it will cost you some $50,000.00. Of course, you pay income tax on your earnings. To be able to afford an expensive car like that, you need to make 5 sales of about $14,000.00 each. It is that simple.
This brings me to the heart of the MOBE scam! Get ready for the truth.
The My Online Business Empire Upsell Insanity
What exactly is it you must sell to be able to make money? MOBE products, MOBE products and then some more MOBE products. Like in any other pyramid like schemes, you are required to “buy your way up” into to higher levels of this crazy hierarchy payment scheme.
You found out by now, that your $49.00 entrance fee has, in fact, bought you NOTHING but a pricy membership. Now you need to decide how much of your hard earned money you are able to throw away. Here are your options:
MOBE License Rights (Full Program): $1,997.00
Matt Lloyds Partnership will give you a full license to My Online Business Empire and the rights to promote MOBE to others. It comes with the following training:
- MOBE Licensee Course
- My Online Business Empire (8 hours)
- Funded Proposal (17 hours of training)
- Affiliate Bonus (11 hours of training)
- OPT formula (14 hours of training)
Almost $2,000.00 gives you the rights only, but no products to sell. No problem here……you must buy them from MOBE before you are able to sell mostly crappy to other folks. There are two categories of products.
Worthless Crap!
The 90% Commission Products
- $97 per month – Inner Circle Membership
- $97 per month – MOBE Elite Earners
- $97 per month – Done For You Emails
- $194 – My Email Marketing Empire
- $194 – OPT Formula (Outsourcing Formula)
- $291 – Affiliate Bonus Domination
- $194 – Funded Proposal
- $9.95 – IM Revolution Handbook
The 50% Commission Products
- $1997 – 10,000 Leads in 100 Days
- $997 – Online Income Revolution
- $997 – The 90 Day Challenge
- $997 – Six Figure Coaching Secrets
- $997 – Add the Nitrous
- $4,997 – Diamond Coaching Program ($1,200 commission)
- $8,997 – Titanium Mastermind
You don’t have to pull out your calculator and crunch numbers. I did it for you. If you “go-all-in” and invest in the entire program, it will cost you…………….
$310.00 per month and $23,855.95 in purchases.
Never mind the high commission rates. The products are junk productions from other scammers, for which Matt purchased the resell licenses. Matt though, is making a killing for himself by forcing his members to buy them first, before they are allowed to sell them.
Throw in a few thousand dollars more per year to attend “events” (a resort in Mexico for example) and you realize the enormity of this scam.
The Support Desk at MOBE
I told you earlier that I bought into this scam and the first action I took was looking for the “Member Forum”. To no avail…….it does not exist (more about that later). Anyways, taken Matt’s advise, I opened a support ticket for direction to the member area. Three days and 2 more requests later, I received an email from Matt Lloyd.
Here is an excerpt of this email, responding to the hundreds of complaints he received about his “non-responding” support desk:
“…………………….Secondly, I’m well aware our support desk is not responding to tickets as fast as the they should. Basically, I have had one lady in support taking care of the whole thing, and, a few months ago things got to a point where it was just too much for one person to handle” [end quote]
Then Matt advises me to visit the MOBE Facebook Community.
I can appreciate your honesty Matt, but on the other hand, when you promise the viewers of your sales video “if in need of help, just open a support ticket and I, personally, will help you with you your problem”, this excuse cannot be accepted. Is that how you treat people that spend thousands of dollars on your scam?
A Bizarre Solution For The “My Online Business Empire Community Help Center”
I figure that Matt Lloyd does not appreciate an active and useful Support & Help Center within his back office. Instead, he favors that his members hang out on Facebook for all the world to see the activities of MOBE. Brilliant idea, Matt. Thanks, but NO thanks.
This is a sorry excuse for a community support forum”
With all the money he swindles out of people, one would think Matt Lloyd could afford to invest in a real member forum.
Conclusion About My Online Business Empire
MOBE is a program geared to make a lot of money for ONE PERSON ONLY, and that is Matt Lloyd from down under. Sure, there will be some that are scrupulous enough to follow Matt’s foot steps and milk out as much money as they can from members they recruit into this scheme.
Some may have no other choice in order to recoup their high investments for the ill advised decision they made. Whatever the reason may be, I think it is unethical to participate in this kind of scheme.
MOBE is a scam. Instead of teaching you the ins-and-outs of internet marketing, it forces you to buy products to keep your membership status and try to sell them to others. Instead of building a legitimate and honest online business, you would be peddling worthless product to unsuspecting folks hoping to get a real opportunity to make an honest income.
